code-shot is a public-share service. Anything you submit — code, theme, params, optional email — is logged, cached, stored, and may be served to anyone with the URL forever.
Don't paste secrets, tokens, API keys, credentials, or proprietary code. If it ends up in our cache or logs, we treat it as content you intended to publish.
What we store:
?code=URLs — code lives in the URL itself, recorded in our request logs.?id=snippets — full code + render params persisted in our database, indefinitely.- Email — only if you submit one with a snippet or join the Pro waitlist. Used for nothing other than letting you reclaim a snippet later or notifying you when Pro launches.
- Rendered PNG/SVG bytes — cached at our CDN. Deterministic from snippet params.
To request deletion of a specific snippet or email, contact hello@basenull.com.
